From the new students orientation day

The Arab American University announced starting the spring semester of the academic year 2017/2018, where more than ten thousand students went to study in the university different faculties.

The University organized an orientation day for its new enrolled students in the second semester of the academic year 2017/2018, to familiarize them with the university faculties and various departments, their specialties, teachers, academic programs and communicate with the university through its website and its various social networking sites to build a strong relationship between the student and their university.

Part of the exhibition opening

Hasib Sabbagh Center for IT Excellence opened the second exhibition of intelligence games at the Arab American University and in partnership with Conan. It aims to develop many skills and abilities of different segments of society, especially school students, strengthen the player cognitive sense, enhance creative thinking, increasing the ability to focus, and develop strategic thinking.

The exhibition was opened by the VP for Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab, in presence of the Director of Education Directorate in Tubas Mr. Sa’ed Qabha, Assistant of the University President for Information Technology Eng. Bahjat Al-Aiassa, Director of Hassib Sabbagh Center Mr. Alaa Hattab, member of the Engineers Syndicate Directors Board Eng. Ziad Rabaya, a group of academic and administrative staff members of the Arab American University, and a number of the Tubas-Germany elementary school students.

Part of the agreement signing

The University and the Palestinian Telecommunication Group signed an agreement to finance the project of establishing a water purification plant at the university and its facilities. The meeting was attended by Mr. Faleh Abu Arra VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Ammar Al-Aker CEO of the Telecommunications Group, a number of faculty members, and directors of the group, at the Group’s headquarters in Al-Bireh.

“We thank the Telecommunications Group for their continuous support to the University through the developmental projects they fund, which contributes to raise the level of academic services provided by us to the university students”, said Mr. Faleh Abu Arra VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs. The university's water purification plant will serve health and environmental science students directly through laboratory experiments. The station will also contribute to create a green environment in the university and become one of the university basic resources.
