The Participants in the meetings of the UniMed General Assembly for the Mediterranean Universities Union

Represented by Dr. Moayad Abu Saa’ – VP for Academic Affairs and Dr. Dalal Iriqat- VP for International Relations, AAUP participated in the UniMed General Assembly Meetings for the Mediterranean Universities Union in Rome.

During the meeting, participants discussed different issues including the collaboration between universities in the northern and southern of the Mediterranean in order to find solutions and put joint strategies to direct researches and projects for the benefit of the Mediterranean area.

هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة UN Women تختار أستاذة من الجامعة لتمثيل فلسطين في الندوة الدولية رفيعة المستوى في روما لتعزيز مشاركة المرأة في عمليات صنع القرار

UN Women has chosen a professor from AAUP to represent Palestine in a high-level international symposium in Rome that aims to enhance the participation of women in the decision making processes.

UN Woman, the global champion for women, has chosen Dr. Dalal Iriqat - a professor in the Conflict Resolution and Strategic Planning programs in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in AAUP to represent Palestine in the high-level international seminar in Rome.

AAUP Seeking Collaboration and Joint Programs with Università degli Studi di Perugia in Italy

During his visit to Italy, Prof. Waleed Deeb- the Academic Advisor of the Board of Directors and the Founding President discussed with Prof. Maurizio OLIVIERO- the Rector of the Università degli Studi di Perugia and an International Law expert means of collaboration between both universities and the possibility of new joint academic programs to be taught in AAUP in Palestine.

Prof. Waleed Deeb said: “This visit was fruitful as we discussed many ideas and plans for joint academic programs between AAUP in Palestine and the Università degli Studi di Perugia in Italy.”

Prof. Maurizio OLIVIERO talked about his visits to Palestine during the second Intifada and Jenin Camp siege as an expert in international law, and as a member of the European Commission for Investigation. He expressed his readiness to be part of this partnership with AAUP especially in the International Law program.
