Master in Quality Management

LEARNING OUTCOME

  1. Understand current issues in quality management and assess the impact of quality management on the overall performance of an organization.
  2. Evaluate the role of the quality manager in an organization and their responsibility to their customers and organizations.
  3. Apply qualitative techniques and quantitative tools to analyze quality of products and processes across an organization.
  4. Employ business concepts and knowledge to develop viable solutions to quality challenges faced by organizations. 
  5. Establish and implement quality management processes and procedures to improve organizational performance.
  6. Examine opportunities to improve quality and propose policies to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction and profitability. 
  7. Demonstrate the ability to use leadership skills to manage quality improvement initiatives and engage employees in the process.

Program Goals

  1. Enable the student to apply quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to design Quality Management programs.
  2. Develop the student’s ability to utilize Quality Management techniques to support organizational improvement and development.
  3. Provide the student with the ability to address quality management problems and opportunities in an organization.
  4. Strengthen the student’s skills in applying technology to improve quality of products and processes.
  5. Provide the student with the skills to assess quality in manufacturing and service settings and to evaluate Quality Management procedures.
  6. Strengthen the student’s ability to apply management and leadership skills to develop policies to improve Quality Management in an organization.
  7. Equip students with the knowledge to make ethical choices and decisions in their role as a quality manager.
