Laith Sbeihat
Dr. Laith Sbeihat Research director at Canaan Center for Organic Research and Extension.
In 2006, he graduated from Biology and Biotechnology department. At university he was an active student at the university where he was head of Mendel club part of Biotechnology Department and was a member of the Students' Union. In 2005, Sbeihat received a research scholarship in France - Institute (INRA).
After graduation, he worked in the Deanship of Scientific Research at the university as a part-time research assistant then he got a scholarship in Italy to specialize in Mediterranean Organic Agriculture.
In 2008, he returned from Italy to begin working with Agricultural Relief in Ramallah for a year and a half. Also he participated in making researches at “Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II” for Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Morocco. Then he won Japanese Ministry of Education and Higher Studies Scholarship “MEXT” to join Nagoya University in Japan (classified No.72 worldwide). He graduated in 2014 with a Doctor in Bioagricultural Science, at that time he worked a teaching assistant in the university’s Plant Pathology Department. Also he worked on researches in biophysics and biochemistry at the Ehime University
In 2013, he received specialized training in business entrepreneur based on results of scientific research (transfer research results to market goods and services) at University of North Carolina, US.
In 2014, he worked for J- wing Farm Company in Japan for two years as program director and by the end of 2015 he worked as director of researches at Canaan Center for Organic Research and Extension. In addition to that he worked as part time teacher in biology and biotechnology department at AAU. Also he worked as consultant for organic farming in more than one project and coach in organic, ecological agriculture and agricultural projects (agribusiness) and entrepreneurship.
Laith published several scientific researches and participated in international conferences.
In Japan he gave lectures and seminars on Palestinian, Arabic and Islamic culture in several universities and community centers.
He taught Arabic language to Japanese in Nagoya University and Aihimh (nagoya university and ehime university).
He co-authored Japanese to Arabic dictionary (available now on Japanese market) and Arabic to Japanese Dictionary currently on Publishing House.
