Eng. Basel Yaseen is currently hold the position as  Director of the Renewable Energy Department at the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authoriy (PENRA), he has been employed at PENRA since 2001.

Eng. Yaseen has held several executive management positions in developing solar PV projects with International and local contractors.  Eng. Yaseen is well knowledgeable and experienced in the management of installation of many solar PV projects in West Bank. He has a good experience in Energy Efficiency techniques and conservations in addition to Waste to Energy technologies, wind energy and Climate Change.

He obtained several international certifications related to energy sector such as CMVP and RETScreen.
