AAUP celebrated the graduation of the students at the Faculty of Graduate Studies of the following programs: Commercial Law, Conflict Resolution, Literature and Intercultural Communication, Physics, Quality Management, Strategic Planning and Fundraising and High Diploma in Oral Implantlogy. The ceremony was held in Ramallah campus under the auspices of Dr. Laila Ghannam- the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh.
The University President’s Speech
Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the university president started the celebration by his speech as he said: “the university is committed to provide high-quality education, and what make us strong is our continual seek to make the faculties, the programs and the subjects compatible to the international foundations and standards. We study the urgent needs of the local market and we provide it with qualified graduates to work in the different aspects.” He added: “and because the university is always the first in providing qualitative programs, we now have 26 new graduate programs, three of which are doctoral degrees”.
Prof. Abu Zuhri added: “AAUP believes in the abilities of its students and graduates to reform the present and build the future. This can be achieved as a result of the academic excellence that is controlled by a great system of quality management and the best use of information technology that are used in the teaching process, the practical training, the creativity encouragement, innovation encouragement, freedom of speech, critical and creative thinking, and strategic vision.”
Prof. AbuZeuhri clarified that the university seeks to provide qualitative academic programs that meet the needs of the national market. He explained how AAUP adopts international teaching techniques that depend on thinking, learning, and researching, in addition to trying to build educational cooperation and joint programs with international universities.”
Talking to the graduates, Prof. Abu Zuhri said: “Success does not come by accident; it comes as a result of hard work, dedication, facing difficulties and challenges, seeking developing and providing the best. I ask you to take these challenges and be proud of yourselves and make your families and Palestine proud of you.”

Dr. Laila Ghannam- the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh congratulated the university, the graduates and their families on this great achievement and expressed her appreciation for the role of the university as it has proudly become a Palestinian academic edifice that provided master and doctoral programs in Palestine. This saved students from the trouble to traveling outside the country to seek their higher education. Moreover, Dr. Ghannam congratulated the graduates who will become ambassadors for the University and for Palestine wherever they go, hoping that next year we will celebrate the graduation ceremony in a free Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital.
Graduates Speech
In her speech, Raneen Bsaileh said: “Here we are today, every one of us has mastered his/ her own field and now it is time to collect the fruit of our efforts. It is time to achieve our dreams and goals. Today is the celebration day, the harvest day, congratulations to all of us”. She thanked AAUP administration and the Academic staff for providing all the needed facilities and equipment, and for providing solutions and advice. Bsaileh mentioned the role of friends and families who stood next to them during their journey and asserted that all graduates will be able to contribute in developing their institutions and the community.
Bsaileh added: “I, as a Quality Management graduate have become able to put some light on the weaknesses of our institutions, and I have gained skills and knowledge to evaluate and develop the quality and proficiency of the regulations and instructions inside institutions, in order to improve the quality of the products and services that our institutions provide. We have become able to understand the needs of the country and the community and connect it to the skills that we have learned during our education. Now it is our duty to be part of the developing wheel and we should start building the country.”
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Laila Ghannam- Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the University President and Dr. Abdel-Rahman Abu-Labdeh- the Dean of Graduate Studies handed the certificates to graduates.
