AAUP hosted Bader AlHuda Khan- an international expert on a workshop about e-learning. The workshop aimed to concentrate on the modern orientation of e-learning in the institutions of the higher education. Many of the interested academics and others attended the workshop.
Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu-Zuhri- the University President, Dr. Mo’ayad Abu Saa’ – the VP for the Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Owais- the Head of e-learning Committee were on the reception of the international expert. Prof. Abu Zuhri explained the training techniques of AAUP and how the university always seeks to develop and expand the e-learning. Additionally, Prof. Abu Zuhri talked about the university and its BA, Master and PhD degrees.
After the reception: the workshop that was opened by Dr. Ahmad Owais started. Dr. Owais started by asserting that AAUP is strenuously orientated to implement e-learning.
During the workshop, expert Khan talked about the true meaning of the e-learning. He clarified the importance of the e-learning and the need to keep up with the technical and technological development especially in higher education. Mr. Khan presented his famous model in the e-learning that focuses on: educational axes, interface design axes, foundation axes, technical axes, moral axes, management axes and resource support axes.
Prof. Khan is an international expert and global advisor in the e-learning and education technology. He is specialized in e-learning and the Head of the Education Technology Leadership in the US, and the director of a graduate batch of Education Technology Management in “George Washington University”. He worked as a Teacher Assistant and a manager for the graduates of the education technology in “University of Texas”. Additionally, Mr. Khan worked as an educational developer and evaluation specialist in the Faculty of Medicine in “Indiana University”. He earned his BA in Chemistry and PhD in Educational Systems Technology from Indiana University in “Bloomington” in the US. Moreover, he established the website BooksToRead.com, and published more than ten books on the e-learning. His books were translated into 22 languages and he is responsible for “The Knowledge CARRIER” initiative.
