The Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center always seeks to improve students of conflict resolution master program and literature and intercultural communication master programs on the academic and practical levels, through student exchange experiences in conflict zones in other international universities, and providing them with skills related to Conflict management, containment policy, negotiation and mediation.
as for that eight students from the Conflict Resolution master program, Literature and Intercultural Communication master programs will participate in a training about the tools and methods for handling conflict resolution and civil peace progress at the University of Granada in Spain from 25-30 November 2019.
This visit was organized by the Center that is supervising the project of "Strengthening the capacity of scientific research in conflict resolution and reconciliation fields", funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with the Islamic University in Gaza Strip, Hebron University, and Friedrich Schiller University from Germany and the University of Granada from Spain.
The project provides training opportunities for students from the Conflict Resolution master program, as well as Literature and Intercultural Communication master program at AAUP and partner universities over the next two years.
The theoretical training will focus on the theories of conflict resolution and the relationship of this specialization with different sectors, and the methods and tools used in conflict resolution and civil peace progress. The program includes many cultural activities help increase solidarity and awareness towards the Palestinian cause, by organizing several events aliening with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on 29th of November 2019.
