The Palestinian Medical Council announced that Arab American University has received the accreditation in dental implants program, in addition to oral and maxillofacial surgery program, considering it a remarkable step in the field of education and training for postgraduate students in dentistry.
The University administration explained that the adoption of the specialization programs in dental implants and oral and maxillofacial surgery is an excellent opportunity for all those wishing to join the disciplines since it’s the first in Palestine. The university provides highly qualified academic staffs, clinics and laboratories to meet the needs of new programs.
The University administration also pointed out that the teaching of these specialties will be at the University campus in Ramallah, the availability of these programs in Palestine helps the students to not travel outside Palestine to study such programs, where they can remain with their families and in their jobs. As its financially suitable since these programs suit the students at home and the living conditions in Palestine.
The Palestinian Medical Council also confirmed the continuation of the university in teaching the program in orthodontics at the university campus in Ramallah after acceptance of three previous batches of students. The Medical Council explained that the programs in dentistry at Arab American University meets the requirements of the Medical Council, which are very distinct programs and are subjected to continuous monitoring and evaluation.
The University administration thanked the Medical Council and stressed that the university is keen to develop programs that meet the needs of the country, especially in the medical fields, and enhance the graduates and improve their efficiency. Which will reflect positively on the Academic, scientific and research side in Palestine.
