AAUP signed a collaboration agreement with Jacksonville University in Florida-USA for launching a PH.D. program in Nursing.
AAUP presented by Prof. Waleed Deeb the Academic Advisor signed the agreement with Jacksonville University presented by Prof. Randy Friburn Vice President, and Prof. Christine Sabianza, Vice-Academic, with in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Asia Assistant President at AAUP for Medical Faculties Affairs.
Prof. Christine Sabianza assured that this agreement is a result of Jacksonville University high confidence in AAUP in general and in the faculty of Nursing in particular, as for its academic reputation, faculty members and its graduates.
From his side, Prof. Waleed Deeb said that this agreement comes within the university’s policy in seeking international academic programs in universities with distinguished academic levels, and transfer these programs and experiences to Palestine due to its need and absence of these programs in the Palestinian market, where the Palestinian student will not need to travel aboard for his studies, as well as saving financial costs and the suffering of studying outside the country.
Prof. Mohammad Asia added that the successes of Faculty of Nursing and its Centers was a result for signing this agreement with Jacksonville University, furthermore the discussion focused on establishing a Ph.D. program in nursing with international standards, containing faculty members from Jacksonville University that will teach most of the courses at AAUP campus.
Aside from signing the agreement, AAUP delegation discussed several collaboration topics with two other universities, such as granting specialized certificates for nursing graduates at AAUP. As AAUP delegation invited Jacksonville University to come visit the university’s campus in Palestine.
