The Arab American University participated in the 2nd International Students Festival for Short Films, which was organized in the Tunisian Nabil city with participation of several Arab, European, and Asian countries.
The university participation is part of the student cultural exchange between Palestine and Tunisia under the auspices of the Ministries of Education and Higher education in both countries and under the supervision of the Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri and follow-up by Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr. Marwan Abu-Rob and Chairman of Arabic Language and Media Dept. Dr. Mohamed Abu-Rob.
The university participated with “Four” movie, directed by the student at the university Arabic Language and Media Department, Amna Abu Arra, under the supervision of the University lecturer in the media department Mr. Sudqi Mousa. The short film addressed the struggle story of the Palestinian Maher Saleh who had four types of cancer, yet he was a role model in tender, creating hope, and doing volunteer work.
Dr. Sudqi Mousa said that such participation opens the opportunity for Palestinian academics to exchange experiences with their Arab and international counterparts, as well as create opportunities for students to present and promote for their talents and creativity. Adding, Tunisia has a unique experience in cinema and television production.
