Abstract:

This study addresses the relationship between the organizational justice (OJ) and organizational citizenship behavior (OSB) among the local administration’s employees through the five-factor model: altruism, courtesy, conscience, civic virtue, and sportsmanship. To achieve the study’s objectives, the researcher implemented two scales; namely, the organizational justice and organizational citizenship behavior. Specifically speaking, these scales were adapted to suit both the nature and the environment of the study and applied to 72 employees at workplace. The study came up with a number of results, the most important of which was the existence of a strong, positive and significant relationship between the OJ and the OSB among the local administrative employees. This study also identifies the organizational relationship justice and organizational citizenship behavior among administrative workers at the local administration in view of the following dimensions: Altruism, courtesy, sportsmanship, civilized behavior and conscience. To achieve these objectives, two tests were used; the first was for the organizational justice (Niehoff and Moorman1993) and the other was for the organizational citizenship behavior (Loisch 2010). More precisely, these tests were adapted to suit the nature and subject of the study and its environment as well. Then these tests were applied to a sample of administrative workers in the local administration. Consequently, the study came up with several results, the most notable of which was that there is a positive and significant relationship between the organizational justice and organizational citizenship behavior and the administrative staff of the local administration.
