Summer School Cardiolung 2020 at the University of Pisa, June 29th - July 4th

The University of Pisa organises the Summer School Cardiolung 2020, a short intensive theoretical course (29 June - 4 July 2020) aimed at providing state of the art knowledge and highlighting emerging scientific horizons in cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine.
This will be achieved through a multidisciplinary approach including epidemiology, genetics and molecular medicine, pathophysiology and clinical medicine. Lecturers from University of Pisa and other prestigious Italian and European research and academic institutions will do their best to provide clear and deep knowledge, prompting curiosity and debate with the attendees.

The summer school is targeted at Italian and international undergraduate students, PhD and postdoc students in Medicine and Life Sciences, with a specific interest in cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology and medicine. Five ECTS credits are provided after passing a multiple-choice questions test on the final day of the course.

Faculty: Lectures from the Pisa University System and other National and European Research and Academic Institutes.

Target group: The summer school is targeted at national and international undergraduate, PhD and post doc students in Medicine and Life Sciences, with specific interest in the cardiovascular and pulmonary field.

Coarse language: English B1 or higher (A2).

Course aim: To provide state of the art and cutting edge developments in knowledge and clinical approach to cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.

Registration fee: Regular fee: 500 €, including participation to the Course, course material and gadgets, course media repository, free University wifi, reduced price canteen card, free cards for public transportation in Pisa (either bus or bike), free access to the University of Pisa Museums (www.sma.unipi.it), and University insurance. It does not include travel and accommodation costs, health insurance (emergencies are guarantee by the NHS) and meals (low price meals are however offered at the University canteens) Registration fee must be paid by bank transfer to the University of Pisa no later than May 24th, 2020.

Reduced fee: 250 € : reduced registration fee of 250 € will apply to applicants sending registration form by march 31th , and fee payment no later than April 30th, 2020.

Credits info: 4 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) will be acknowledged after passing a final written test (multiple choice test). We can find an equivalent course before registering in this course.
