Abstract: 
In this study attempt has been made to find out the impact of using pair and group work on improving student’s speaking skills. The study was carried out on a sample of 29 students in the 7th dtandard at the University Experimental School of Baroda for 4 weeks. Students were taught through situations after arranging them in pairs or in groups of 5 students in each group. Simple situations influenced students to communicate and talk to each other, furthermore, confidence of students was improved as they expressed later in the opinionnaire distributed to them at the end of the experiment. A pre and post tests were administered to the students. The means, SDs, and frequencies were calculated. The results of the investigation reveal that there exists a significant difference between the pre and post test scores in favor of the post test. Students’ speaking skills improved and they displayed these skills in their performance in the post test.
