Abstract. The news coverage of the failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016; in Turkey has been examined as a case study in the Israeli fourth estate, “Yedioth Ahronoth”; a Hebrew newspaper. This study utilizes qualitative methodology and frame analysis method is used to examine how the Israeli newspaper framed the attempt of coup in Turkey; to identify the frames and agendas that the Israeli newspaper used; and to know the implied Israeli attitude that appears from the coverage. In addition, this study is designed to test the Agenda Setting Theory. The main frames and agendas discovered in this study are as follows: Erdoğan is a dictator; the coup attempt is Erdoğan’s conspiracy; Islamic orientations of Erdoğan is a main reason of the coup; Turkey poses danger to Israel; Turkey violated human rights and freedoms; and Turkey embraces the enemies of Israel and Palestinian parties.
