Part of the Workshop

The Office of the Assistant President for Community Affairs at AAUP organized a workshop about culinary culture and French food, in partnership with the French Cultural Center of the French Consulate, the workshop hosted French media chef specialists Francois Roboth and Philippe Bourguignon, and the former general manager of Paris' most famous restaurants.

The workshop is part of the French Cooking Week in the Palestinian territories in its fifth edition.

The workshop was opened by the Assistant President of Community Affairs Dr. Iyad Dalbah, in a speech he welcomed the attendance, pointing out the importance of other cultures knowledge, assuring the benefit of networking between various international institutions and the university.

Part of the visit

Mrs. Nawal Benzimori, the French Adjunct for University Affairs and Academic Collaboration, visited Arab American University campus in Ramallah. She was welcomed by Vice President for International Relations Dr. Dalal Erekat, Dr. Reham Nazzal and Mr. Mohammad Sabaneh administrative Manager in Ramallah campus

During the visit, Ms. Benzimori reviewed the graduate programs and discussed ways of developing and strengthening academic cooperation, scientific and cultural exchange between AAUP and French universities. They also discussed ways of granting scholarships from the French government to the Palestinians to study in France. In addition to emphasizing the importance of exchange relations between students and faculty members between Palestinian universities and French universities.

From the course “Advanced Information Design”

The Arab American University and the University of Paris 8 have completed the “Advanced Information Design” course for the master students in the Computer Science Program. As part of a cooperation program and project between the two universities, with the support of the French government.

The course included in-depth lectures in design and information mining in “Palestinian Heritage Sites as a Case Study,” field trips to work on creating digital information from archaeological sites and organize workshops for student groups with specialists in applications field. Both Prof. Khaldoun Zriq Head of the CITU laboratory at the University of Paris VIII, and Prof. Nassir Aldeen Bouhi Head of Informatics Master Program at the University of Paris VIII, gave the course.
