The University in cooperation with the Ministry of Education & Higher Education, a Guidance day for “Al-Injaz” high school students, with the participation of 20 high educational institutions of Universities and colleges, and more than 3000 students from different schools from the directorates of education in Jenin, Tubas and Qabatiya.
The Guidance Day which was held at the sports hall in the university, was part of a meeting series organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in eight Palestinian governorates. The aim of this day is to introduce high school students to the specializations available in educational institutions and to help them choose the university and the appropriate specialization that suits their needs and the market needs.
Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri gave full scholarship to student, Buthayna Ghanam, the first in high school’s literary branch on Palestinian level, with a 99.4% rate.
The University President, VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, VP for Training and Community Service Dr. Nizam Diab, Dean of Admissions and Registration Dr. Hazem Khanfar, and president of the Student Union Council Ali Kameel, all welcomed the student.
Under the title “SUPPORTING YOU” and by the University's keenness and interest in local community, the Office of the Vice President for Training and Community Service implements a social initiative, serving high schools’ students in coordination with Palestinian higher education directorates.
The initiative includes a number of lectures and educational workshops, entitled “Dynamic Rhythm and Facing Psychological Pressures”. It targets students of several High Schools at the Higher Education Directorates in Tubas and Qabatya.
