Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Arab American University organized a training course about “how to perform a splint” in modern scientific ways, for students from Occupational Therapy, and employees from medical, health and rehabilitation institutions and centers from different places of West Bank.

with the attendance of the Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences Prof. Mohammed Asya, the Acting Director Occupational Therapy Union Mr. Anan Ghabash, and representatives from rehabilitation societies, medical institutions and health centers in different parts of the West Bank.

University and Al Rahim Society celebrate Down Syndrome International Day

Arab American University celebrated the Down Syndrome International Day by organizing a workshop entitled “I am a part of you, & I am with you” sponsored by the Minister of Social Development Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sha’er, in cooperation with Al-Rahim Society for Down Syndrome "Love Syndrome". The aim of the workshop is to highlight the down syndrome that has suffered from ignorance and encouraging and supporting it.

Before the workshop, a meeting was held with Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri and the Minister of Social Development Dr. Sha’er, in the presence of the Governor of Jenin Major General Akram Rajoub, and Board Member of the University Dr. Raed Dalbah, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arrah, Dean of both faculties of Allied Medical Sciences and Nursing Prof. Mohammed Asyiah, and Director of Public Relations Mr. Fathi Amour.

Physio and occupational therapy Students at the university start projects for producing allied devices for people with disabilities to facilitate their daily lives

The Faculty of Allied Medical Science organized an open day for the projects of allied devices presented by physical and occupational therapy students, where they produced devices and tools that help people with special needs.

Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences and Nursing Dr. Mohammed Asia said: "These outstanding projects reflect the students' competence, skills and ability to undertake innovative equipment and tools to help patients overcome their problems."
